"In anticipation of the celebration of Teacher's Day, this Sunday, June 30, I send a warm and sincere congratulations to our teachers," said the head of state in a message full of love, respect and admiration to those engaged in the noble work of teaching.

“Con el convencimiento de que la vida se sustenta, en gran medida, en la calidad de la formación de sus habitantes, nuestro Gobierno emprendió, desde sus inicios, una labor sin tregua encaminada hacia la transformación urgente del sector educativo”, afirmó Danilo Medina.
El jefe de Estado destacó la labor de “construcción y rehabilitación de los locales escolares para proporcionar, a maestros y alumnos, ambientes adecuados, que faciliten el proceso de aprendizaje y respondan a los requisitos indispensables de equipamiento y modernización”.

“La modalidad educativa implementada por el gobierno de Danilo Medina no solo mejora sustancialmente la calidad educativa, sino que supone un ahorro a las familias de aproximadamente 70,800 pesos al año por hijo”, señaló el jefe de Estado.
